The available case tools in the EOSDE, including Sapiens and RHPlan, are used to support specific activities such as processes’ definition, quality evaluation, process planning, and so on. After the software processes are defined, organization employees are trained in software engineering and in the tools that will be used during the project. We have observed that at the end of training session, when Sapiens and RHPlan are presented to the organization’s employees, the interest about both tools is proportional to the size of the organization and its projects: the bigger the organization the greater the interest.

Class Similarity Metric: the class similarity metric is based on three items: synset similarity of classes being compared, inter-class similarity comprising the assessment of relation similarity between classes, and intra-class similarity which evaluates the similarity between classes’ attributes and methods. Interface Similarity Metric: the interface similarity metric is the same as the class similarity, except in the intra-class similarity, which is based only in method similarity, since interfaces do not have attributes.

Sub-ontologies of enterprise ontology This paper aims to discuss just the ontology usage not its structure, thus only the most important concepts used by the tools that will be presented in section 4 will be defined as following. The EOSDE Enterprise Ontology was developed combining new concepts with others defined by Fox et al. [5] and TOVE’s (TOronto Virtual Enterprise) ontology [6]. The sub-ontology of Intellectual Capital establishes the vocabulary to describe the intellectual capital of an Organization.
